So, you’re off to the Republic of Congo for a trip and need to know the top travel destinations. An excellent decision on your part because the Republic of Congo is an extremely underrated country filled with magical places and an astonishing nature. The Republic of Congo deserves every bit of praise, and if you’re headed over there, make sure you hit up these awesome destinations.

1. Odzala Kokoua National Park

One of Africa’s oldest and Republic of Congo’s largest national parks, the Odzala Kokoua National Park has been open to the public for decades. From serene savannahs, pristine rivers and a mystical rainforest, the Odzala Kokoua National Park has everything a nature lover desires. Take a safari in the park and snap some pictures of gorillas, elephants, bongos, spotted hyenas, moustached monkeys, forest buffalos and many more.

2. The African Circle Museum Of Pointe-Noire

The African Circle Museum of Pointe-Noire is a heritage museum in the Republic of Congo which takes you along an informative journey on African culture and traditions. Founded by Eni, an integrated energy company, the museum features a collection of works detailing African history and culture through masks, statues, and ritualistic objects. If you’re curious about Congo’s history, then heading to the African Circle Museum of Pointe-Noire is the best thing you can do.

3. Côte Sauvage Beach

The Côte Sauvage beach is an extensive stretch of pearly white sand and bright blue water. The beach is frequented by visitors almost daily and is known to serve some of the most breath-taking sunsets in Congo Republic. Set in Pointe-Noire, Côte Sauvage catches rough waves with strong undertows, but makes up for it through the numerous groups of restaurants and bars lined just along the coast. For a fun day at the beach, Côte Sauvage is the ideal place to be.

4. Loufoulakari Falls

The Loufoulakari Falls are about 80km from Brazzaville, Republic of Congo and present a mystifying view. From a thunderous group of cataracts with water cascading down to collect in the bright blue pool, a trip at the Loufoulakari Falls proves just how gorgeous it is. An adventure and nature lover’s delight, the Loufoulakari Falls is one of the most awesome hikes you can go to. The fun doesn’t have to end there; after reaching the Loufoulakari Falls, you can stop at the base rocks and treat yourself to an amazing picnic.

5. Zoolandia

The Parc Zoologique et Botanique de Brazzaville or Zoolandia for short is a zoological and botanical reserve in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo and makes for a really interesting travel destination. Divided into two portions, the zoological reserve, and the botanical reserve, Zoolandia is a great place for families with little children. The zoological park houses many remarkable specimens like civets, guinea pigs, Raking monkeys, Nile Crocodiles, rabbits, Mandrills, False-Gharials, Dwarf Marsh Mongooses and Pangolins. If you’re lucky and a birdwatcher, you might even encounter the Gabon Grey Parrot, doves, and Yellow-billed African Kite.
The botanical garden also hosts several local species of wild flora, which will truly allow you to connect with nature.
